New Haven Rugby faced off against Long Island on a sloppy and wet Boulevard field. The conditions favored LI's large pack but New Haven held strong after going down 3 about 20 minutes in and eventually scored a try and converted before going to half. In the second half New haven continued to control posession and added a penalty goal and another try to seal the win. New Haven will face White Plains next weekend for the #1 seed in the NRU.

New Haven took on White Plains in the NRU Seeding Round final under much better conditions than the week previous. The first half was a seesaw battle and White Plains went into the half up 10-7. The Old Black defense stiffened and White Plains was held scoreless in the second half. New Haven scored twice and went onto win 19-10. New Haven will now play Schuylkill River in the NRU-MARFU crossover on 4/14.

New Haven took on its long time rivals, the Hartford Wanderers. The first half was quite one sided, as New Haven put up four tries and held Hartford scoreless. New Haven added two more tries in the second half and won the match 34-7. Next weekend, New Haven will face Schuylkill River in the NRU-MARFU crossover. The winner advances to the CR4 seeding round for the Sweet 16.

The Old Black squared off against the Maryland Exiles in the second day of the CR4 Seeding Round Playoffs. Defense was the name of the game the entire match. The Exiles scored the only points of the first half and led 7-0 at the break. The Old Black came out firing to start the second half, putting up 13 unanswered points in under 10 mintues to go up 13-7. Maryland's defense weathered the storm and held the Old Black scoreless for the remainder of the half. The Exiles added a penalty kick and a late try to edge New Haven 15-13. New Haven will now face the Olympic Club in the USA Rugby Sweet 16 in Coulmbia, SC.
